Brush Strokes of a New Year's Wish

My dear Dad:

By a random chance I was informed of this local event of Chinese New Year. So I went with a few friends. To my surprise, the event was full of energy and filled with warm greetings along with a set of complete performances.

Walking down the vendors tables, I found this little desk. There were two or three fellow Chinese teaching people Chinese Brush Caligraphy. I thought of you again. Therefore I went and asked if anyone would write something for the rescue campaign. One guy agreed to write for me.

As he brushed the characters, I could see both the confidence and power of the strokes, reminding me that in each step on the path I must maintain clarity of mind and resolve to rescue you. The characters are simple, but their meaning is profound - Free Zhiwen Wang, and we will bring an end to this persecution forever.

One time, two times, three times... he tried to achieve the perfection. I could see his golden heart really wants to help:

In English it reads: "Free Zhiwen Wang!"
It pronouces as" "Ying Jiu Wang Zhiwen!"

Year of 2008 is the beginning of another Zodiac Cycle -- Rat. This is a year of hope and many many warm greetings to come.

Your daughter,
Dandan
